Pilates Eric

Now in his eighties and living in Stonehouse, it is fair to say that Eric is one of the older members of our Zumba Gold class in Cam Memorial Hall on a Monday morning, but that certainly isn’t slowing him down! Eric told us that he never thought he would be any good at the class and that he has surprised himself by being much better than he thought.  He would recommend the class due to the high standard of teaching and particularly enjoys the relaxed and friendly atmosphere of the group.  Since he first started he has noticed a big improvement in his co-ordination and fitness levels and would definitely recommend others to join too.  In his own words, “Come along and don’t be self-conscious; we are all in the same boat!”

Joanne Zumba

Joanne from Eastington regularly attends our Friday Zumba Class in Frampton on Severn led by Ben Ward and would have no hesitation in recommending the class to her friends. In her own words, “Ben is a fantastic teacher!”

Not only does she credit the class with improving her fitness levels, but also thoroughly enjoys the music, fun and friendship offered by the group too. 

Annie Zumba

Joining our Friday Zumba Class in Frampton on Severn made a real difference to Annie when she first moved to the area, far beyond just helping her to keep fit.  She told us that, “Before I felt quite isolated being new to the community; now I feel settled, confident and happy.”
Going along to the weekly sessions helped her to meet new people and become part of a community.  Describing the classes as great fun as well as being a fantastic way to keep fit, she would definitely recommend them to others.  They both improved how she felt as well as her general fitness level.  In her own words: “I feel fit and happy after a class… and I get to enjoy cake guilt free!”

Fran and Ben

Francesca from Cam has always loved dancing and has been regularly attending a number of World Jungle classes over the past few years.  She has most enjoyed the opportunity to improve her dance technique, seeing real improvements to her flexibility, balance and strength.

However, the classes have also impacted on other aspects of her life and how she feels.  She describes them as a great way for people who may feel lonely or isolated to get out and meet new people.  The classes are good fun, friendly and welcoming.  In her own words, “Before I sometimes felt lonely, now not so much as people from classes say hello.”
